A Little About Me
Furthermore, I hold the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) certification. This is a specialized credential that bridges the gap between basic, unregistered preparers and an Enrolled Agent (an advanced status I am currently expanding into for next season).
Because of this certification:
IRS Representation: I hold limited representation rights, meaning I can actually stand before the IRS to represent you in audits or discussions regarding the returns I prepare.
Public Verification: You can find me listed in the official IRS Public Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers.
Strict Ethics: I am bound by the strict ethical accountability standards of IRS Circular 230.
Why I Do This
Throughout my career, I’ve seen too many people get taken advantage of by unqualified independent tax preparers. Whether it’s hidden fee add-ons, shady math that puts you at risk, or preparers who completely vanish the moment tax season ends, it’s fundamentally wrong.
You shouldn't have to worry about whether your refund is going into your bank account or someone else's, or if a preparer is inflating your return just to chase a larger fee. I am here to change that experience. My mission is two-fold: to deliver honest, accurate tax preparation, and to educate you along the way so you can confidently understand your own finances.
A Diverse Foundation of Experience
My 13 years with the IRS gave me a deep, technical understanding of the tax code, but my broader career background allows me to look at your financial life from multiple angles:
Legal Insights: My time working in a law office reinforced my commitment to compliance, precision, and confidentiality.
Problem-Solving & Tech: Managing a support division for a software company taught me how to break down complex, technical problems into simple, clear solutions.
Notary Public: As a designated Notary Public, I hold myself to strict ethical and legal standards in everything I sign.
Life on the Island
Aside from a little over a decade spent living upstate, I’ve spent almost my entire life right here on the island. This community is my home. When I’m not digging into tax codes, I am usually spending time with my big, busy family—I am the proud parent of five grown children and a grandparent to six amazing grandkids.
I also share my home with a rescue dog who is a little bit "messed up," but full of personality. She’s a daily reminder that a little patience, care, and dedication can turn any chaotic situation around.
When you work with me, you aren't just hiring a number-cruncher. You are partnering with a neighbor who has the insider knowledge to protect you, the professional credentials to handle your taxes correctly, and the integrity to always treat you right.
Hi, I’m Holly.
After spending 13 years working inside the IRS, I decided it was time to bring that insider expertise back to our community. I started this tax preparation business because I believe you deserve a tax partner you can actually trust—someone who stays in your corner long after April 15th.
Professional Credentials & Accountability
I believe in complete transparency and continuous education. When you trust me with your taxes, you are working with a credentialed professional. I am fully registered with the IRS, holding an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and an Electronic Return Originator (ERO) status with an authorized EFIN, allowing me to securely e-file your returns directly.
